Jammwal was born on 10 December 1980 (age 38 years) to his father who was an army officer, and mother Vimla Jamwal in Jammu, J&K. His dad’s job is transferable because he was in the Indian army. So Vidyut lives in different places in India. He got his training in martial arts from an ashram situated in Palakkad, Kerala.
After getting his degree in martial art Jammwal performed many live shows in various countries. In the year 2000, he participated in a contest named “Gladrags’. After that, he lives in Mumbai. Achla Sachdeva is his sister. He loves his family so much.
He completes his education from Army Public School, Dagshai, Himachal Pradesh. And a degree in martial arts from Ashram in Palakkad, Kerala.

Jammwal starts his career in movies with his first Telugu movie Shakti in 2011, where he plays the role of antagonists. After that, he makes his career in Bollywood by his first Hindi debut film Force, where he plays the role of Vishnu. His acting in force is very appreciated by the viewers.
In 2012 he debuts in the Tamil film industry with his movie Billa II opposite Ajith Kumar. And also done a blockbuster Tamil movie Thuppakki with Actor Vijay. And also played a supporting role in Tamil film Anjaan.
